La Kerie Williams has been a resident of the High Desert since 2015, when she, her husband and their four sons moved into their home in Apple Valley, California. She is a local small business owner that has been advocating behind the scenes in the Victor Valley region since she arrived. La Kerie has an Associate of Arts in General and Early Childhood Education (Cosumnes River College, Sacramento,CA), a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Howard University, Washington, D.C.) and a Juris Doctorate with a certificate in Litigation (Thomas M Cooley Law School,Lansing, MI). Locally she volunteers for The Millionaire Mind Kids, Inc.’s ROC Education Committee, the Apple Valley Unified School District’s (AVUSD) African American Parent's Advisory Committee and the District Advisory Committee, the High Desert Second Chance, and is a known tutor of both primary and secondary education. She is also a member of the Education Workers United SEIU Local 99; the High Desert Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Howard University Alumni Association, the National Women's Political Caucus-Golden Circle Donor, and Emerge California. She has a passion for working with and advocating for the neurodivergent community and the elderly population. She is a lover of music, writing, dogs, and American Football. Her favorite thing to do is enjoy music concerts, NFL games and any kind of get togethers with her close family and friends.
